Floating tramp oil in CNC coolant tanks can contribute to coolant degradation, odor, and reduced machining efficiency. The Mini-Skimmer Cogged Belt Oil Skimmer is designed for removing floating oil from machine tool coolant sumps and industrial fluid tanks. Mini-Skimmer introduced the cogged belt coolant skimmer in 1989. The reinforced cogged belt is designed to maintain engagement with the drive pulley to reduce slippage during operation. The compact drive assembly is designed for installation on a wide range of machine sumps and mounts using two bolts. The unit is capable of removing up to one gallon of oil per hour and is suitable for operating temperatures up to 120°F. All MSB-A and ECB-B Mini-Skimmers with cogged belts are offered in four standard reach lengths: 8", 12", 18", and 24", and are available with either 10 RPM or 30 RPM motor options. The MSB-A unit also includes an accessory pack with a 24-hour timer for scheduled operation, an in-line ground fault interrupter (GFI), and a two-foot discharge hose that connects to the scraper trough.
