Mini-Skimmer Oil Skimmers come with flat polyurethane belts, which are similar to cogged polyurethane belts but notably different in two ways (aside from the latter having teeth).
First, flat polyurethane belts can be made to any size. We have five standard sizes in stock (5″, 8″, 12″, 18″, and 24″ reach) but we can make custom length belts for any application. Flat polyurethane belts with reaches down to 15 feet are great for monitoring wells or other environmental remediation applications.
Second, these belts are for the economy-minded – a perfect alternative for customers with tight budgets – and therefore do not last as long as their cogged alternatives.

NOTE: THE REACH IS THE DISTANCE FROM THE MOUNTING SURFACE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LOWER PULLEY. It is how far Mini-Skimmer REACHES down from where it is mounted.
